Question about BHRT

I just started a testosterone/estrogen vaginal cream. Rx is 1 gr every day for 7 days, then 1 gr 2x a week thereafter. My question is, I'm getting terrible headaches on the "off" days and terrible cramping on the "on" days. Does this mean the dose is too strong? Will I eventually get used to the swings? Not liking this right now.
Thanks in advance.
