Chest CT-scan without lead apron--risky?

I recently had a CT scan of my chest and there was no lead apron used to protect my reproductive organs. When I asked for one they said that only my chest would be exposed to radiation and so a lead apron was not needed. However, when I go to the dentist and get x-rays of my teeth they give me a full body lead apron. I am concerned about possible damage to my reproductive organs.
