PLEASE HELP!!! I'm so scared and can't stop crying =(

I've gone every year since I was 16 to get a pap test done. I am now 30 years old with no children. I went and got my annual pap test done and it came back with abnormal changes. They said that it was HSIL and that I have to go to a specialist to investigate this further. I am trying to read as much as I can about it and all I can seem to find is how bad it is =( I've never had an abnormal pap before and I'm really freaking out because I don't understand how I can go from normal paps all my life to HSIL without something being horribly wrong. I'm so scared. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

I happened to be searching for some answers on this site for an unrelated matter when I ran across your post. I was in hysterics two weeks ago when a doctor called me and relayed that my test results were abnormal. I called the doctor back and asked for more clarification and have since gone on to see other specialists. The best advice I can give you is to call your immediate doctor with your concerns and get in with the specialist as soon as possible.

I had normal PAPs for several years and all of a sudden developed abnormal test results when I was 30. I ended up having a cryo procedure that froze the cells. I have several friends that have had higher grade lesions similar to yours and have been treated successfully. DO NOT FREAK OUT.
