Period late, lighter than usual. Pregnant?

My period arrived about a day later than usual (I am very regular normally) and it seems much lighter than usual so far; I normally have a very heavy flow but this is very light. I'm not experiencing the crippling cramps that I usually do on the first day either, just a slight twinge.

I've heard that this could be a sign of pregnancy. I only had sex two days before my period. We used the pull-out method which I would never normally use but I know it is rare to get pregnant right before your period.

However even if I were pregnant, surely I wouldn't be experiencing symptoms yet - as far as I know it takes 6-9 days for the fertilised egg to reach the uterus wall, and you aren't supposed to experience symptoms until then, right?

I will of course be taking a pregnancy test once enough time has passed to do so but until then, how likely is it that I could be pregnant??
