Hi Bob -
In December, 1999, I was diagnosed with "severe" CTS in my right hand and not so severe CTS in my left hand.
After interviewing 4 surgeons, I found one I was confident with who did the endoscopic surgery on my right hand on March 01, 2000.
I had immediate relief, and the pain went from a 10 down to a 1 within one week. The numbness is probably 90% gone; and I am told it can take up
to 6 months to completely go away.
I think it is important to find a surgery who specializes in hands and one that does many endoscopic procedures, if that is the way
you may want to go with your other surgery. I am extremely happy with the results and will have the left hand done within the next year.
Hope this helps. Regards, Elaine
