: hi i'm a 23 year old male, in december i had an EMG done on both hands, the doc said my velocity was off a little on the left hand (i'm right handed) i had a cortizone shot and it didnt help so in march i had surgery on it and for a little while the pain was gone, but lately my wrist hurts similar to how it was before, but it doesnt go numb and it tingles a little bit, when i get nervous, both hands start tingling like crazy i dont know if it's related, and also i have aches in my elbows, and a lot of snapping in my joints on both arms, if anyone has any comments please reply, thanx

I had surgery on my left hand in January, and on my right hand in April. Since then, I have the same symptoms you describe. I recently went to vocational rehabilitaion. 5 different doctors told me that I could not return to the work I was doing before. Voc rehab did numerous tests. I took dexterity tests.......the results were that my motor coordination, finger dexterity, and manual dexterity was so low that on a scale of 1-100....... I rated under 10. They had me do numerous tasks in a controlled work enviornment. Within 2 hours of doing these tasks, My hands were swollen. My tingling, aching in elbows, and pain running from wrists to elbows felt just like before surgery. I, like you, have not had alot of numbness since surgery........ but, I am weaker, and my grip is terrible. I suggest you talk to the unemployment office in your area to see if you can be sent to voc rehab......they will test you in all areas....... and possibly get you more medical help..... It is definitly worth considering.
