: Luckily I found a chiropractor who practiced Active Release Therapy a non-surgical relief for CTS. It pretty much cured me and I get the tingles only when I really overdo it on the heavy repetitive stuff connected with my job. So I just take it easy with that. I also take B100's and a good multi-vitamin. Seems massive doses of Vit B's work but I wouldn't take them without Dr. orders. Check the web for Active Release Therapy. Lots of info on it now. Good luck.

: : I've had carpel tunnel for about the last 10 years and since changing jobs last year I've got the pain, swelling, numbness and restless nights again. I've had PT 9 times already and the pain is worse. I received the ultra sound treatment with cortisone for the last 4 weeks plus doing the stretching exercises both with the therapist and at home and the pain has gotten worst; now both hands are going numb. Yesterday the therapist give me a treatment, electric stimulation with liquid cortisone. That didn't seem to help either. My physician has referred me to a hand specialist which I am to see Tuesday, Mar 30, 2000. I'm all for relieving the pain, but am afraid that if I have to have surgery it might be worse than what I now experience. If anyone can enlighten me with their experiences or let me know if there are any other options that I might consider. My physician, I might add that this is a worker's comp case, has also referred me to a cronic pain clinic that the main physician has denied. My main physician has said that acupuncture might work also; that is why she referred me to the cronic pain clinic vs surgery. But money is the biggest concern with my company, I guess, and they will go the less expensive method. Please advise. Thanks for listening.

I had carpel tunnel surgery on my left wrist about 15 years ago and never had an ach or a pqain since- in that wrist. However, now the right wrist seems to be showing serious signs of it. 15 years ago, I worked for a company that was good about the hospital bills, so surgery was a blessing. But now, I'm an at-home mom w/a newborn, ands not-so-good insurance. this has led me to all kinds of alternative therapy. None of which has done as good so far as the surgery. Good luck to you!
