: : Has anyone had this procedue? I am worried about dimpling. What was the cost? What are appropriate questions to ask?

: Angie:
: I suggest you check-out Dr. Loftus wrote a great book on plastic surgery procedures, including a description of each of the most common procedures, risks involved, questions to ask, average U.S. cost, etc. Most of her book is on-line at this web site.
: I have not had lower bleph, however, a number of people who have been unhappy with the results of fat removall under their eyes is that too much fat was removed leaving them looking hollow, and therefore, even older. Also, sometimes when fat is removed, more lines/wrinkles appear because the fat kept the skin "inflated". A newer technique is to have the fat repositioned/redraped. What may appear to be an excess of fat can actually be caused by the sub-orbital fat descending with age. The fat around your eyes is a different kind of fat than that found elsewhere on your body. Part of its function is to provide support for your eye. Once it is removed, it never comes back, so if too much is removed, you may not be happy with the cosmetic results, or worse, you could actually interfere with the functioning of your eyes.
: If you haven't already checked it out, be sure that your eye bags are not being caused by allergies or a thyroid condition.
: Good luck to you.

Thank you for taking so much time and care to help me out with this!!!!!!
