I certainly understand your concern! I read your last post and saw the responses.

My wife was on Celexa for a little over a year. She just went off almost two months ago, as we are planning to have a second child. She has had some rough days here and there, but overall, she is doing well, and we will start "trying" for our second child soon.

I don't believe that the Celexa has any long term effects for pregnancy; however, each individual is different. I would think that as long as your wife stops the Celexa for a couple of months before getting pregnant, everything should be okay. Remember too that when a woman gets PG, her hormones will change, hopefully giving her a sense of well being, then for the time of the pregnancy, no Celexa will be required. But watch out after the birth! I would have her go right back on Celexa if she doesn't intend to breast feed!

Well, my two-cents anyway...

: Thanks for the reply! I am glad to get an answer from someone in the same situation as I! So do you believe the doctor? :)

: I posted here once before and everyone took it the wrong way and got defensive all of a sudden!

: I'm afraid the information I get is all biased. Especially from my wife's doctor.

: The pregnancy issue is what concerns me the most, being as how we would like to have a baby sometime next year or the following.

: Any other comments/suggestions welcomed!!

: thx in adv

: : I can only tell you what the doctor told my wife... Stop taking the Celexa for at least two months before you try to become pregnant.

: : : Hello! Someone PLEASE give me an non-biased opinion and side effect information on CELEXA in regards to trying to and becoming pregnant????

: : : I now have heard a lot of instances about problems during child birth, getting pregnant while on Celexa, etc. But I cannot find anything about it.

: : : Can anyone confirm/deny??
