: I have taken SJW. It helped more with depression than with my anxiety. It really did not help my anxiety and that's why I switched to Prozac (I'm now on Celexa). If I were you, I would stick to the Paxil and Trazadone as long as they are working.

: The drug companies have programs to give people reduced prices or free drugs if they are in need. This includes Paxil. Let me know if you need the phone number.

: : : I've been taking 20mg of Paxil off and on for the past three years (anxiety and panic attacks). The main problem I have with Paxil is the lack of sleep. So to counteract the sleeplessness, I've also been prescribe 50mg of Trazodone. Well, I really don't like having to take one medication to offset the effects of another (plus the cost is quite expensive). What I'm hoping to do is take St. John's Wort instead of the prescriptions. Does anyone have suggestions, recommendations, success or failure with St Johns Wort for anxiety and panic attacks?

: : Going on, then off a med usually means it's less effective the next time around. I'm still taking Paxil after several years, though even that can go on to a poop out effect. Trazadone, even half a tablet, knocks me out, so I've gone back to good old benadryl types (diphedryl Hcl) for sleep and have cut back on all the caffeine I used to drink.
: : Lot's of people have good results with SJW. You might want to check out one of my favorite resources, Healthnotes Herbal Encyclopedia, to see if it might conflict. And always ask your pharmacist about everything--they have it all memorized! Hope this helps, Beth

Yes! I would love to get the phone number to get reduced price on Paxil. I'm without health insurance until mid-December (new job) and every little bit of help with the cost would help. It might be a good idea to post the phone numbers for the group. I'm sure there are others who might be interested as well.
