: I have been taking Effexor XR for about 4 wks. I am taking 112mgs. I have noticed recently that my memory has begun to fail me in ways that I have not experienced before. On my post "Often Can't Remember What Month It Is," I explain how this often escapes me.

: Also, on my way home from work I couldn't remember where I had been just 5 minutes ago. It took me forEVER to come up with it. I sat and pondered a while!!

: I have noticed also that I have begun to check and recheck things more than usual. I have had these symptoms before, years ago, but now suddenly they have returned.

: Other symptoms include: 1) Constipation!!, 2) Mysterious pain in the spine or back of the neck, 3) drowsiness and yawning fits, 4) broken sleep, 5) a "mediciney" feel in my stomach around noon. (I take my meds around 6:30 a.m.) 6) dry mouth, 7) fluttering feeling in my ears, 8) sinus congestion, 9) chest pain, 10) breathlessness, 11) eye pain, 12) disorientation.

: I guess it sounds like alot but or course they don't all occur simultaneously so it's tolerable. BTW, the Effexor XR has not worked for the depression yet.

: Please post your symptoms here. Thanks in advance.

My husband has been on EffexorXR for three years, and had that ear fluttering. He went through thousands of dollars in tests to no avail. He has learned to live with it. No one ever even suggested it could be the Effexor. Nice to know. Thanks,
