Don't take this the wrong way, but how can you recommend a diet that you have only been on for 24 hours? With just about any diet, you can get a 3-5 pound weight loss in the first couple of days just due to water loss. The diet that I recommend is a low carbohydrate diet. Why? Because I had struggled with my weight for all of my life and finally feel like I have a way to control it, without feeling deprived. I have been doing the low carb diet (way of life now) for just over 2 years. My weight dropped from a peak of 220 # to 180 # and has remained 176#-182# for over the last year (I'm a 6' tall male with a 33" waist and work out with weights fairly regularly). I would recommend that you get a copy of Dr. Atkins diet book or Protein Power by Dr. Eades (or both). Each costs about $6.00 at any bookstore. This ain't easy, but it's better than anything that I have found out there. And it's healthy. My cholesterol actually went down on this diet, and I eat at least a pound of bacon or sausage every week along with 2 dozen eggs and all the meat and green vegetables that I desire. I have had my blood checked at least twice in the last couple of years and all indications are normal with total cholesterol at 186 and HDL, LDL, and Triglycerides in the good to excellent region.
