I also have a beautiful daughter with DS. She is 14 MO. We live in a wonderful small town in Michigan called Napoleon. We are only 20 minutes from the Intermediate Scool District which has an excellent Early Intervention program with wonderful teachers. I also recently learned that our local school system, though small, is one of the best in the state in terms of inclusion (mainstreaming). I have been extremely impressed with the way they run things. I have a "normal" 9 year old who is in what they call the "team-teaching" setting, where she is able to work in groups with the 'disabled' children. I think it benefits all the children, because the 'normal' children are learning by teaching. Good luck in your decision!!
