Annika,

I am sure that you are on an emotional roller
coaster right now, but take it from one who knows,
this precious little child of yours will be one of the greatest gifts in your life. My daughter,
Kimberlee, is now five and one of the most beautiful children that I have ever seen. (Spoken
like the proud parent that I am!) Kimberlee knows
her abcs and can count to 10. She is also reading
simple words. She is truly an amazing little girl. Take care and know that in no time at all you will see your baby, as just that, your sweet little baby. I know that with the passing of time
a parent of a child with any disability soons learn to accept that child for the special creature that God intended. I believe that God
(according to Psalms) sees us before we are born,
so he know that Kimberlee and your baby would have Down Syndrome. I believe that He already knows what it takes time for us to know - EVERY
child is a unique and special gift. Take care and good luck as you begin a wonderful, new adventure with a very special little child!

Vicky
