My 4 year old daughter has down's syndrome and I expect for her to live way beyond any numerical statistic given in the books. She is healthy and did have open heart surgery at 4 months old. I feel with the advances in medicine today and for the future, people with trisomy 21 will live normal lives just like the rest of us. Thanks to early intervention programs and the medical field. You can also find information about Trisomy 21 at Family Village and The Arc. E-mail is thearc.org/welcome.html
