My mother-in-law has this also. Her doctor gave her a botox injection in the strijcture to relax the stricture and it's a temporary fix, but it works. The problem is that it has to be repeated every six months or so. I always thought botox was for facial wrinkles and cosmetic purposes, but evidently they are also using it for other things. You might ask her doctor about botox injections. Also, her doctor told her if the botox doesn't work, there's surgery they can do, but it's a last-resort option because it does have risks. Hope they can help your mom soon.
