I have been having problems with my hip..to make a long story short, I have been diagnosed with arthritis..have taken celebrex and bextra...neither works...doctor said either live with pain or have hip replacement. I suggested physical therapy and he said it wouldn't help. I plan on going to another dr...want to try physical therapy. I am in pain all the time now...this has gotten progressively worse, where it now effects everyday walking. I am an active person...go to gym 3 times a week, and always on the go. DOn't know what to do...anyone have any opinions. I am 55 and don't feel ready for the surgery, although I know it will happen eventually. My 80 year old mother is having hip replacement surgery in a few months, but she is 80....this is making me depressed just to think about it....any suggestions?
