Discussions that mention celexa

Back Problems board

Hi Everyone

Yesterday, my doctor perscribed me a muscle relaxer called Soma. Does anyone on here take it? Are there any side effects that I should be aware of?

I am wondering if I can take this in conjunction with my percocets and Celexa. I am going to call the pharmacy were I got it filled, to make sure that it is okay to take, but would like any information from someone who has actually taken it.

I am also concerned with taking all of these medications at the same time. Now that my doctor has added the Soma, I am now taking Soma, Percocets and Celexa. Do you guys think that this is alot of medication to take? Also, someone told me that Soma is addicting, is this true?

I was taking Ambien for sleep, until I found out they were addicting, so I stopped taking them. The first 2 nights without the Ambien, I had a really hard time falling asleep. I didn't go through any kind of withdrawls like I thought I would, I just had a hard time falling asleep. Ever since I started taking the Celexa, sleep hasn't been a problem. I think the depression was causing sleep problems, along with the pain.

I am already taking the percocets, which I know for a fact that they are addicting, but I need to take something for the pain. I just don't want to add another addicting medication if I don't have to. I figured that I have gone this long without the Soma, so if it is addicting, then I don't want to take them.

I would appreciate any information that anyone has on the Soma's. One more quick question, if I took the Soma's with the percocets, would I be able to cut back on the percocets? Has or is anyone taking the two medications together?

Please advise, and thank you in advance.

Take Care,
~Brenda
