For the first time, my doctor (after I got over the embarassment issues) gave me samples of both Viagra and Cialis. I think the Cialis works better. But the next question is: does anyone know if this is usually covered by insurance? (I have United Health Care).
I've seen Cialis (generic) advertised. Is it as effective? Thanks.
I tried the sample way as well with the doctor, both Viagra and Cialis. My insurance would only cover if there was serious medical issues such as nerve damage etc..which I don't have, so my insurance would not cover it.

Cialis gave me some serious intestinal issues for a few hours and Viagra kept me up (sleep) for a few more hours than I wanted. Anything I ingest perscription wise causes me some type of problems. I'm going to try the sample thing with Levitra to see how that affects me. Have you tried that?
I have Caremark for prescription coverage, and United is our Major medical carrier. They have been covering my Cialis and Viagra for several years with no problem. They do limit me to 30 pills for 90 days. If your doctor sends in the prescription, I'm sure you should get coverage. As the other person suggested, you might give

Since you have United Health Care, you can go on their website, input your user name and password (UHC will let you set it up). From there, they have a pharmacy section and will tell you if they cover it or not. Or you can simply call them up on the phone and ask.

Cialis works well, but Viagra will give me stronger erections.
