Well, I'm not sure I'm really a virgin (depends on how you define it). I did succeed to have one intercoursal experience, but it was not good enough to reach orgasm.

So I have a perplexing case. I've had two girlfriends -- one between the ages of 17-19, and another when I was 30. I'm now 31. For reasons not needing mention, I was out of the dating seen for a little over 10 years. I never had sex with my girlfriend during my teenage years. When I tried to have sex when I was 30, I was surprised that I had problems achieving and maintaining an erection -- the last thing a guy would expect going in for his first sexual experience. This problem occurred repeatedly and definitely caused some tension in our relationship. The one time I successfully achieved penetration, it was after I woke up in the morning. For some reason, erections come easier in the morning.

Anyway, I'm single again, but my erectile dysfunction remains unresolved. The issue definitely looms over my head, and it may cause some anxiety in my interactions with female prospects. Given that I attempted sex for the first time after I'm 30, it's very hard to diagnose my problem (e.g., age, diet, stress, former accutane use, masturbatory habits, etc.). I didn't have a chance to try Viagra or Cialis during my relationship with my girlfriend. Our relationship was on the downturn just weeks after discovery of my problems. I do think if I tried Viagra or Cialis now, even without the intent of intercourse, and confirmed that strong erections are achieved and maintained, it would give me significant peace of mind. What do you guys think? Should trying Viagra or Cialis be my next step.

I see that prices for Viagra or Cialis is pretty high ($10 a pill). However, I can afford it as long as I don't need one every day!
Cialis would be the best bet as it lasts longer.

Get your homones tested, Estradiol & Testosterone. Get a copy for your medical file.

There are several reasons for hormone imbalance. Most can be corrected.
Well, I would be interested in knowing my testosterone/estrogen profile regardless of my suspicions. Is the test simple and inexpensive? How should I ask my doctor to have it tested? Should I bring up my problems with potency and leverage off of that? I guess I need to bring up my potency problems to talk about Viagra and Cialis anyway.
