Sexual Dysfunction Treatment board

Because of damage to the nerves controlling the erection process, I have reached a stage of erectile dysfunction where drugs such as Viagra, Levitra, and Cialis have no effect on me. That leaves me with a choice of a vacuum pump, intercavernosal injections, or a penile implant. But I find all three of those treatments so grotesque, so contrary to everything natural, spontaneous, relaxed, and human about lovemaking, that they seem radically inappropriate. When I read the statistics, I find that for all three therapies, about half of all men have stopped using them after three or four years, and more continue to give them up as time goes on -- no doubt for the same reason that I find these treatments psychologically and aesthetically unpleasant. They say that penile injections do not hurt, but I've tried them in the doctor's office and they cause me more displeasure than sex is worth. The pump is not only uncomfortable and difficult to use, but it completely ruins the atmosphere surrounding sexual encounters, and the ring which has to be worn to maintain the erection is positively painful. Finally, patients I have talked to who have had a penile implant inserted say it gives them the sensation of having sex via a ruler taped to their stomach, to say nothing of the fact that the implant is constantly rubbing against the skin, tearing through, and having to be surgically re-positioned.

So the ultimate conclusion is that if Cialis, Levitra, and Viagra are insufficient to restore your potency, there really is no cure for impotence worth having.
