I'm 58 years old and 9 weeks and 2 day post surgery. I'm back to doing all the activities I did before surgery, lifting weights, yoga, jogging, biking and surfing. Prior to surgery my uro recommended 6 weeks recovery, but after 5 weeks he lifted the restrictions, but said use my best judgement. Biking and jogging felt the strangest, at first I had some deep internal discomfort, so I just eased into them, but now it's fine. I haven't recovered to 100%, I'm at about 70% of what I was before surgery, but each day I get stronger.

My continence has returned to about 99%, I'll get a drip or two throughout the day, but thats about it, I don't wear any pads or protection. Keep doing your Kegels, I did them while urinating and held it for 30 seconds then released and stopped again, they really do help......

Sexually, nothing is going on even though my uro said all the nerves were sparred. I've tried Viagra at 100mg's and all it did was give me a headache and a stuffed up nose. While attempting to get an erection I did have one of those dry orgasims, I don't care what anyone says, it's nothing to write home about. It's really weird not having erections, I used to be able to get one just by thinking about sex, but now it's way different and I'm starting to get a little bit worried.

I'm going back to my uro May 8 for my first followup PSA results, digital exam and I'm also going to ask about Cialis, I've heard from others that didn't have success with Viagra did have with Cialis. The thought of a vacume device isn't very sexy to me at this point, but I will explore it if need to

All I can say to those of you who are going through hell right now, keep the faith, stay positive, be strong, keep fighting to be the man you were, you will be able to "HANG TEN" again, I'm living proof and I'm still fighting.
