Cancer: Prostate board

[QUOTE=jj1963;3538089]Alibabba - thanks for the post. I wish you the best of health in the future. One thing i cant help but notice is the erection return at 2 years. i am 44, very good health and 13 months post op. Nerves spared. Very little return of potency. Yours is the first to note erection return between 12 and 24 months. I know this is more of a sexual dysfunction problem but i tend to hold that all us PC patients are brothers and belong in the PC Board. I am very interested in hearing how you achieved erection.

Hi JJ,
i wanted to respond to your post for the mere fact of being in the same progressing point as you are (almost) i am 10 months out and just start feeling noticeable improvements (mid Night Erections, and almost 90% while aroused with the help or oral Meds ie: Viagra ,/Cialis as wll as occasional VED exercise).

I had also open surgery, nerves spared, and i sure hope to be back in shape in the ED front in the range of 12 to 18 months post surg.

You are young (i am now 54) an if you had a normal sexual function pre surgery, and your nerves indeed spared you should be able to return to potency at some point , i am not sure if you using and help like Meds or VED but those sure help to run the blood vessels in there .. and being done on a regular basis would sure help matters in the ED front that we all battling.

I hope this wil help your mental state knowing things develop real slow when it comes to healing nerves

Keep us posted and Good Luck !!!

hi jj
I used the usual meds but I prefer Cialis because of the longer benefits. At my 2 year mark I achieved a useable erection :). I am now having success without any meds and they are getting better as time goes by. I hope this is encouraging to you and others. The main thing is to have patience because it takes time for the nerves to grow back. By the way what is your psa now?
