High & Low Blood Pressure board

I just found out that a pheo is probably responsible for the high blood pressure, sweating, flushing, heart palpitations, muscle cramps all over, and flank pain I've had for 25 years.

The only thing that made it tolerable was Prednisone. My symptoms are liveable on it. A combination of clonidine and metropolol has really cut down on the overheating and sweating, too.

I had to be careful when I had surgery, because my blood pressure would go really high, then really low.

I'm waiting on the results of serum free metanephrines. I'm hoping the results come back in favor of treatment... I've read that you can test over and over again and never capture high readings.

I went to a nephrologist, and because I demanded it, he gave me a scrip for an MRA of the abdomen focusing on adrenals.

As I understand it, another kind of "pheo" can be outside the adrenals (a paraganglioma), on the bladder, in the intestines, or other areas of the body. I've been keeping track of when I get my spells, and it's usually when I'm urinating or bending over, so it's possible it's on my bladder instead. First things first, though...
