Discussions that mention coumadin

I take narco meds for a long time already and fill them at same pharmacy all the time. They have no problem to fill it for me at any time i give them my prescription since it's always from same DR (my PM). They usualy very concern if prescriptions come from a different DR's.

Interesting though: i called to re-fill my Coumadin meds (blood thinner) and still had about 10 pills left. We went out of town for couple of days and i wanted to be prepared just in case - they wouldn't refill them yet.

So go figure...

It's all about the pharmacist. Some are super picky and play the Barney Fife role, while others fill as fast as they can and unless you do something really stupid, they could care less. This is why many run into issues at the "chains" because they run pharmacists through there like an assembly line. As fate would have it, it's always the substitute pharmacist that's working when it's refill time!
