Michael,

Verapamil is a good drug and works well for a good many people that I know personally. I have used it and mixed it with an ARB like Cozaar but it lowered my BP really low...too low.
But it is worth a try.
Hello Stumper,

I really need to try it but I'm not sure what's the dosage that I should start with, can you recommend a dosage? by the way, I have tried Cozaar before and I want to say that it made me like drunk all the day. I felt so bad and I had to stop it.

Hello Pal7778,

I started with Cardiazim SR 90 mg twice daily and after 2-3monthes I increased the dosage to 120mg and I'm not sure that I should increase it to 180mg or not. What do you think?

The best thing is that I have NO side effects from using CCB :D.
Thanks for help,
Michael

I would probably let the doctor set the dosage. All of these meds have different ratings and so forth. But, if anything, Verapamil lowest dosage on the extended realease is 120 Mg., and I find it very inexpensive. For me, its more than enough. I can break these in half, twice a day, and it is plenty. The lowest dosage on the regular acting Verapamil is 40 Mg. I have these as well and I like the way the 40's look. Kind of remind me of a small round orange flintstone vitamin. Cute little things.
