Back Problems board

hello all,

i have lower back pain and am prescribed diclofenac and co=dydramol.

my injuries were caused by a car accident some time ago and i have been on various drugs which basically stop working after some time. i am told by my GP (im in england) that diclofenac and ibuprofen are the only drugs i can be prescribed now.

is there anyone else in the UK that is prescribed anything other than diclofenac or ibiprofen for lower back pain and related symptoms? i.e leg pains, shoulder pains etc.

and

is there anyone else around the world who gets prescribed different drugs for the same things? if you are not in the UK could you please tell me where you are in the world. thanks. :)

Diclofenac is the drug that is the most helpful to me. I have a bulging disk and facet problems. I tried every anti-inflammatory known to man. The problem with them is that they stop working many times after you have been on them for a while.

Hi Needles

Welcome to the Boards.

I used diclofenac. Now use I use the one that also has potassium in it.

It's really an anti inflamitory med. I am not in the UK - I am in the U.S.
I'm also on Hydrocodone, Neurontin & Oxycontin for pain.

I'm sorry I don't know of meds in the UK.
Just wanted to welcome you & wish you well.
