Back Problems board

Hi DeltaC, ChristinaD, and my sweet GBR

I am glad we talked today DeltaCory. What a sweet thought that we end up fused by the same Doctor. My prayers will be in the cards for that. Or something to answer our story.

The second opinion doc was today. He was a complete JERK I now know what you mean about that place DeltaCory!

For the rest of my friends, the doctors comments to me today were " I have three annular tears, I don't want to be the doctor you end up mad at if the surgery (fusion) doesn't work, I can't believe you don't want to have another discogram, if you are in so much pain, and want to go the next step, you shouldn't be thinking twice about another discogram"

All direct quotes from the jerk himself. There were even more! Needless to say, I am not going back to the disgusting man who thinks he is a doctor.

Soooooooooooo... just going to muddle through the pain. The stupid doc today made me appreciate my doctor I have now! And as for another Discogram.. umm heck yes I am hesitant on having one!!! DUH!!

Well, I see my original doc on the 9th. The Duragesic patch has kept me from having the pain go to a level where I am not able to control it. So that is good.

Thanks DeltaCory for writing. Hope to see you more on the board :)

All my friends God bless you all! You all are answers to my prayers  I will keep in touch!

Hi Everyone

Good to hear from you all. Deltacory, thanks for calling today. Please feel free to call anytime. I think it is cool how we can work together on what we are going through.

I really am finding relief with the Duragesic patch :) Let's be sure not to let our doc know we have the inside track.. tee hee.. well what can I say. We can continue to compare stories..

Baxter, sweetie.. how are you feeling these days?? How did the SSI come out? Do you know anything more on if you will be able to receive the SSI income? I am doing better only because of the Duragesic patch. But I guess whatever helps me get up on my feet. I have been doing PT in the pool twice a week. I know that is helping too!

ChristinaD.. how are you as well?

Please write back all and fill me in on how you all are.

Love and Prayers to you all

Hi CJ, GBR, Baxter  and hi Christina and Deltacory :)
Delta, I am now 6 1/2 months post-IDET and still worse than pre-IDET, but I am definitely showing improvement. And a LOT of that improvement has happened just in the last few weeks. So hang in there, many people say that the 6-month anniversary marked a turning point.

CJ, I hope you will see a turning point soon too. I'm glad the duragesic patch is giving you some relief. I feel significantly better than I did just two weeks ago, and I think you're just about two weeks behind me on the IDET, so hang in there!!!! And wow, that doctor sounds like an incredible JERK! I can't believe what he said to you. What an insensitive clod. Well, at least you know never to go back!!!!

I am praying that the next couple of weeks will send you an improvement even better than mine!!!! You deserve it!

My PT just told me that facet joint problems are much easier and quicker to cure than disc problems... and she's giving me a set of exercises that will do just that! I am already seeing improvement. I hope you can find a good PT who can teach you some good exercises for the facet joints, and that you find relief from your pain.

It is a long slow process, but we will all get there eventually and find relief.... I am sure of it!

Love to all,
