[QUOTE=hessie28;3597030] He put me on the Fentanyl Patch 25MCG (I assume that is milligram). Still on the 5mg Oxycodone between meds. They take the edge off at least. The Oxycotin did nothing for me.

Sorry to hear about your condition. I hope things improve for you pain control wise. The patch is in micrograms....not milligrams. Fentanyl is measured in micrograms because it's so potent. I have used the patch for several years now and have found it be an incredible drug. The only issue I've ever had is that it's a patch...I'm not wild about wearing one in general.

What brand did you receive @ your pharmacy? The Duragesic is due to start re-shipping in July....It is the best, IMO. Watson and Sandoz are also good. Keep in mind the "brand vs. generic" issue we've discussed over and over.

I have a lot of experience with the patch, and am willing to help wherever possible.

Good luck.

Thanks. I got the Watson brand. I don't think I have a choice. Whatever they give me is it. My pharmacy didn't even have them or the Oxycodone in stock. They had to call another town and they had it. I hate that. You would think when they have patients on a certain medicine long term that they would order it. I've been on the Oxycodone for two years.

I'm not a fan of a patch either. Especially everything I read on this one. How do you dispose of yours? It says to flush them. I can't do that. I think they might get stuck. I guess I can just make sure they are folded shut. I can wrap them in something if needed. It was the same way with the birth control patch when I use to use that. Although I'm sure this one is more dangerous.

Have you had any side effects?
