Depression board

Due to cost and side effects, I am hesitant to go back on any prescription antidepressants, but being in a very depressed, angry, bitter, and unmotivated state, I am willing to give it another shot. I have taken most all SSRIs (except Prozac), Serzone, Wellbutrin, Remeron, Imipramine, Effexor, Buspar, fish oil, and Sam-E, all with limited or no success. I am begining to think there is no effective treatment for me.

I am wondering if anyone can recommend another alternative, prescription or otherwise. My main concerns are low cost and effectiveness with as few side effects as possible. I am consdering talking to the psychiatrist about Selegiline, an MAOI. Has anyone taken it? Also wondering about Parnate, another MAOI. I know all about the diet restrictions, and if I can find a med that works avoiding a few foods would be worth it. Plus if Selegiline works, then I could switch to the Selegiline antidepressant patch (Emsam) once I get out of school and get a good job (which partially depends on me beating my depression!)
