I am on NSAID, Prednisone, Methotrexate and now Enbrel. Since I started Enbrel I have been getting sick to my stomach when I take my Methotrexate. I take 8 pills a week. I was going to ask my doctor about injectable Methotrexate. Is hard to inject? I find that the Enbrel easy to inject with now site reaction. Would it help with being sick to my stomach? Is there any mixing of the drug? Any information would be great. Thanks.

I have been going into my Rheumy's office every week for a Metho Inj. We are trying it as it is more easily absorbed by your system and causes no GI irritation. The bad thing about it is that if you are comfortable with injecting it at home, many pharmacies do not carry it. You will have to order it.
 Annette73 , I was diagnosis in 1998 with R.A. did my research and asked myR.A. doctor if I could go straight to Enbrel, and he agreed because my levels were so high and he sugested Methotrexate Injectable I've been on it for a little over 9 years no problem's except , I cant give it to myself because I get it in my backside once a week right the next left , and I have heard it's better to stay as low as you can in the cc's because this disease as you know is for alway's unfortunately and the methotrexate could not work if you start out to high . I'm on 1cc, hope this helps also in 2003 went with Remicade so thats all I'm on and Folic Acid which must go with the methotrexate. I problary could give it to myself but my husband likes to feel helpful, well hope this helpful . Palomao
