Thyroid Disorders board

Pursie, I read one of your posts and I hope you are improving rapidly. I am so sorry to hear that you are not feeling well at all. I hope you had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I am happy to report that I am still feeling really really good. Better than I have since my July diagnosis and especially since my bout with adrenal insufficency in Oct to the present. Still have the unwanted 6 pounds that I gained in one day from doubling my cortef last week when I had my root canal.

I am having a lot of swelling in my right ankle and right hand and wrist, but other than that I am good. Not sure what is causing it. I sweated something terrible in the heat at my in laws house over the holiday, but who knows. I tried skipping a dose of Florinef today to see if that would help. Bad idea, I made it an hour and was very very dizzy, so I took that and lowered my cortef a little for today. My back hurts but energy good. Hate to complain because my energy level is so good right now.

I just wanted to tell you both thank you for always being there, and I hope 2007 brings you both good things.

Love,
KM

I do have adrenal problems. Those showed up 3 months after my round of thyroid cancer. They are still not all the way sure if I have addison's or not, I had no antibodies but have almost all the symptoms. I missed a dose of the cortef and florinef and could really feel it.
If you think you have adrenal problems you should really have that checked.
I am much better now, but it has taken such a long time. Nine weeks since it all flared up, and just now about 80% back to myself.
My only complaint my extra now 7 pounds instead of 6 from having to double the dose last week. I feel really good, so I guess you can't have it all.

I am with you. Good Bye 2006, and I hope that 2007 is much much better!!!!
