I haven't been put on a beta blocker - yet. I'm sure I'll end up on one eventually.

So far I only take midodrine. It is a vasoconstrictor that increases blood pressure thus helping lower heart rate. It does an ok job at that but nothing outstanding and I still have tachycardia - but 120 bpm or less standing is better then 144+.
Many with autonomic issues take midodrine with a beta blocker, with success, though I've heard that it seems to bug pharmacists. lol

Has your doctor mentioned fludrocortisone (Florinef) to you? If low blood volume is one of your issues this would help your kidneys hold onto fluids and increase you blood volume - and blood pressure. And do you know exactly what is causing the tach? If it's directly linked to the low blood pressure it makes sense to help correct that.
