Lyme Disease board

sleeperwoken,

Just looked up __ and then in trying to find a natural substance stumbled onto the following info and knew you'd want to take it into consideration.
What you are saying is interesting/yucky - I'm going to talk to my doc about going on drug... thanks!

In reference to cholestorol management drugs, Cholestyramine being on the list:

Nutritional Considerations: **The activity of statins and gemfibrozil may decrease coenzyme Q10 levels.
**Avoid grapefruit juice with all statins, except Pravastatin. Pravastatin does not seem to be affected by grapefruit juice.
**Do not take statins with niacin due to possible muscle weakness and wasting.
**Iron and zinc absorption may also be impaired with bile acid sequestrants.

Herbal Considerations: **Artichoke, garlic, ginger, guggulipid, plantain, and skullcap lower blood fat levels and theoretically, may have an additive effect if used with antihyperlipidemic drugs. Avoid these herbs with the above drugs.
