Try this one on for size. I take glucophage for insulin resitance. That is the only medication I take. I have been on it now for about 2 years. For the last 5 years (I am used to it now) I have a weird sleep pattern. I wake up for the day at about 2 AM. I am literally up for the day. I am most generally in bed by 8PM, as a direct result. abotu once every couple of months I switch to going to bed about 7PM and get up between 4 and 5AM. This happens for a couple of days...like recharging a battery. Then, I am back to square one again. I have tried staying up later. I have tried taking a nap in the afternoon. Staying up later changes nothing other than I am tired when I get up. Napping does not help me to stay up any later either. I have tried to change my sleep pattern to a more noraml schedule and it does not work. Taking a sleep aid, makes me feel groggy and irritable the following day. Got any tried and true suggestions? I am used to it, but don't like it. It's amazing what you can get used to.
