Discussions that mention ibuprofen

Celebrex is an NSAID, similar to Ibuprofen or Naproxen. The difference is that Celebrex is easier on your stomach, so it's preferred for long term use. My pain management doctor had me try it for a while, but it didn't do much for me. At $55 per 30 pill prescription, I asked him if I wouldn't be just as well off with over-the-counter ibuprofen, as I was mainly to take it during flareups.

The pain you're describing sounds more like nerve pain. There are meds especially for that, like Neurontin. You might want to ask your doctor if he thinks one of those meds would be appropriate for you.

I won't wish you luck, as I don't believe in luck, but I do wish you the best, and you know what the BEST is, dear sister!
