Hi there,

I'm 33 years old and I recently switched pills from Femcon FE because I had break-through bleeding. Before that, I was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen for many years and had switched to the generic version called Tri-Nessa. Anyway, for about a year, I had a period all but 5 days out of the month and my doctor finally found something that really works for me. She prescribed LoEstrin and I take the generic form, Microgestin 1.5/30 (with iron fortified placebos). I LOVE it! She said that she flip-flopped the hormones I was taking and I already feel so much better. I've been taking it for almost 3 full weeks so I don't know what kind of symptoms I'll have next week but I didn't experience any of the normal craziness that usually occurs when I switch bc pills. That and I'm healed! No period all month! Other added benefits, my skin is great, no breast tenderness yet and I feel really happy most all the time now - things don't seem to try my patience as they used to. I didn't even realize how moody I must have been on the other pills until taking this one.

Another generic form of LoEstrin is Junel but I have friends who don't like the Junel and prefer Microgestin.

Good luck to you! I don't know if this was helpful but I LOVE this pill so far!
