Hi, I am Pamela and I have RA, I am 43 and have had it since I was 14. I have 2 children, divorced and dating. That's another story. I have probably taken every drug under the sun and have just received my Kineret and am getting ready to take the first injection tonight. Am a little scarred. I was wondering if anyone has been on this yet, I hear the injection site can get yucky.
Thanks
Dear Prose59: I just got back from vacation and see that no one has responded to you yet. I hope your experience with Kineret is going well. I've been on it for 7 weeks... no response yet, but the injections have gotten better. I had No site reactions for 10 days, then wham.... all at once. Lots of site swelling and itching. Gold bond cream helped a great deal and also took some off-brand antihystimine. After 4 weeks, the reactions almost completely stopped and now have stopped. I'm praying the benefits will kick in soon for me. I'll be praying for you and hope you receive this encouragement...

hi i have been taking kineret a month now and my tests showed improvement, only that it lowered my white blood count
i do the injections around my stomach caused i tried on my hip and i almost flew through the ceiling, it hurt
it does look awful some black and blues and red spots, but they heal and if it works i am all for it......

since all else has not had as much success, the idea of the shot is worst to me than what the spot looks like after, good luck hope it works for you
