Quote from Jewel2:Valarie,
Susie reminded me of something. I take an anti-depressant and I was waking up every night after about 4 hours of sleep. My PMD suggested using Valerian root. It stinks to high heaven, but I have taken 3 at night for about a week and I have slept through every night.
Thanks for the good wishes. My PMD cancelled my block when he found out about the surgery. I am so frustrated that I can't get my second block - first high BP, then one doctor wasn't in, now my gall bladder! My burning is starting to increase again and my elbow has started hurting - I need that block!
Hugs to you both.
Sorry you have to wait as I know how much the blocks are helping you.
I just talked to a friend-up in her years but she had a gallbladder operation last year and they did it with a laparoscopy. She was home the next day with no
pain and probably could have gone home the same day --very quick recovery.
I'm hoping yours goes as smoothly., and you can get back to PM and get some
relief. Good tip about the valarian tea.
By the way different antidepressants have to be taken at different times of the day. Zoloft, Prozac, effexor, lexapro will keep you up if you don't take them early in the day. On the other hand tricyclics like elavil are best taken before bed as they will make you sleepy.
Here's to a very quick recovery and a less pain night. Hugz, Susie L
