Discussions that mention lexapro

Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD) (CRPS) board

hey skooze, i'm not quite sure how much my mom said the trial was, but it was pricy, as most things are that deal with rsd. but what you might be able to do, that we were able to do, was we talked to the facility where they did the trial stim and told them our sitituation and how it was a little too much for us to pay, and our insurance paid like 60% i think, but we had 40% left which was still a few thousand just for the trial, so they facility was very very nice and said that they would only take the insurance money for payment and we had to pay them nothing, well the doctor's fee was separate. so the facilities are so willing to work with you and make it possible for you to get the stim or any procudure that you need usually. as far as meds that i'm on at the moments i'm on topamax, baclofen, methadone, and lexapro. i've been on about 10 different pains meds all the way up to morphine, and had withdrawls when i was being taken off of it. i just turned 21 in july so the stim seemed pretty much like the only way to go for me because when i was younger i had very bad liver problems and almost had a liver transplant several times. so i wouldn't want to be on a lot of drugs and narcotics every day for the rest of my life to put me in that situation again. a pain med here and there for really bad days that the stim can't help, then ya sure i'm all for some pain meds, narcotics or not, whatevers gonna make the pain go away. and i'm sure since you mentioned you had cancer, that all of the meds the rsd has you on can't be helping you immune system at all. so i would think looking into a stim would be a good thing for you, especially if it can help you the way it helps me.

Sandson: i hope you get to feeling better soon. try wrapping your affected area in a heating pad, keep it warm. i hope your blocks helps you!
