Hi - FYI, no luck at all with Flector. I don't think there's enough meds to get deep into my SI joint. I also have a friend who had a fusion and it did nothing for her low back pain either.

Somewhere, I read that it can be used for bruises. I'm way beyond a bruise, so I suspect it's too low dose to penetrate and help my pain source.

Also, lidoderm patches didn't do a thing for me.

Started using Joint Juice instead of getting Glucosamine/Chondrointin in pill form. Early opinion is that it's helping - however, I've been the pills for 6 weeks, so maybe the form doesn't matter. Am stretching more too - seems to be helping.

There you have it. Take care.
Greetings,
I will have to agree with you on both counts. I have now tried both and neither has helped at all. The patches are also very difficult to keep on.

Hey all:
I ready these posts when my doc prescribed Flector, and went ahead and filled the script anyway. I have had both cervical and lumbar fusions and am now in pain management for chronically inflammed S1 nerve, SI joint probs, facet joint probs, and all that fun stuff that makes you want to chop your legs off.

So I've been on Flector for 4 days now and notice that it helps with the lower back pain (not much with leg pain) and figure what the heck, I'll stick with it. Lidoderm patches do me some good with foot pain at night so I'm doing that too. Unfortunately I cannot handle most of the nerve drugs or muscle relaxants I've tried and I'm tired of trying new drugs and having bad reactions.

Good luck, Sandollar, with finding a doc who can help you. I've been through many and my latest PM is not bad and willing to work with me. My last one basically told me he couldn't help me anymore and to go see someone else about a spinal cord stimulator (which I have not gotten, but did find another doc). I've spent the past 4-5 months doing everything the pain doc recommended so at least he believes that I'm motivated about helping myself (why do so many of them doubt that, I wonder?). I hope you find the relief you deserve and a doc who is sensitive to your allergy issues.
