The main things you can do to reduce blood pressure naturally are:

1.) Maintain a healthy weight.
2.) Eat a healthy diet that is low in salt, high in vegetables and fruits and contains good sources of calcium such as skim milk. Read the threads on the DASH diet for more details.
3.) Limit alcohol to two drinks a day or less.
4.) Exercise aerobically for 30 minutes or more on most days.

I have read some of your other posts and it seems that you already have a healthy life style with a good diet and plenty of exercise. Do you watch how much salt you eat? Some people are sensitive to salt while others are not.

Many people need to take medications in addition to living a healthy lifestyle in order to keep their blood pressure down. Metoprolol is a beta blocker and is known to affect heart rate and interfere with exercise. I would recommend talking to your doctor about switching to a medication that does not interfere with exercise. ACE Inhibitors, ARBs and calcium channel blockers usually are your best bets for this.

I am on an ACE inhibitor ( Lisinopril ) and a calcium channel blocker ( Amlodipine ). I exercise five times a week and the Lisinopril has increased my aerobic ability. This doesn't happen for everyone, but it is a known possible side effect for ACE inhibitors. The Amlodipine has had no noticeable affect on my exercise.
