I found out in Jan that the guy I had been with for 6 years was living a double life. His life here with me was a total lie. His other life consisted of lying, stealing, and drug use.
We have a 9 month old son together and I have a 13 year old son from my previous marriage.
At first I let him come around us. I have put a huge halt on his visits, he seems to be getting worse by the day. He "pretends" to work but has been doctor shopping. Every word out of his mouth is a lie.
I have begged and pleaded for him to go to rehab, he swears left, right, and sideways that he's not on drugs. I "know" he is, as does everyone else that knows him.
My question is....should I deny him visits with our son? I would NEVER let him be alone with him or take him anywhere. His visits are strictly at my home. I want my ex to get better, it's really making me hurt inside knowing what he has done to himself. My MAIN focus is our son. I want him to have a normal, sane, dependable father. I will not put up with the ex running in and out of his life, only coming around when there are no drugs to do. If I deny him access to our son, would it push him further into his addiction? How will affect our son if I do allow his dad to be part of his life? How will it affect him if I don't? Any suggestions and advice would be appreciated.

BTW...the ex is on Oxycontin, Lortab, and any other type of narcotics he can get his hands on. He had a mark on the bend of his arm that looked like a needle mark to me. Now his vein is hard and red. It looks to me like he burnt it up by shooting.
