Discussions that mention lyrica

I was on Neuronton for a year. I gained 20 lbs on it. It seems to stimulate appetite for a lot of people. Also it slows you down and possibly your metabolism is lagging. Toward the end of the year for some unknown reason I started losing the weight gain. I lost 17 lbs over a couple of months with no change in eating habits or exercise. Naturally it made me very happy. Then because of the dizziness and drowsy side effects my PM switched me to lyrica (neurontin without side effects). Well I function well on it but the bad part is I have started to put on weight. My pharmacist tells me that Lyrica is even worse than Neurontin. for weight gain. I wanted Pm to put me on on Topamax which is noted for weight loss but up until now he has me on Lyrica. I believe that Topamax is not as effective as a pain reliever.

I find that I do crave sweets and that is really out of character for me as I am not a sweet tooth.

So here I sit getting fatter by the day but in less pain and more mobile.
