Discussions that mention lyrica

Back Problems board

Sheri, I have no idea what it is but it's painful and there is no way you can continue walking when that pain arrives. I have told the Dr many times about this and they looked at my new MRI and tell me that everything is stable. I can also feel the path of the nerve from my disc across my lower back L5 area, I can trace it with my finger. My chiropractor thinks it's now my L5-S1 disc. I still have sever pain since my 2nd surgery back on Jan 9th of 2004. I was taking Lyrica that seemed to be working until my wife an I were rear ended at 25 mph. Doesn't seem fast but the impact was enough to cause some damage to my lower back so now the Lyrica is no longer working. I also have facial pain over my right eye and I didn't bang my head and yes I always wear my seat belt. Tomorrow I'm going back to my PC and I want answers. Naturally my Back surgeon moved to CA and the new surgeon who bought the practice is on vacation. Not only do I have the typical ankle, calf, hip, piriformis and that crushing feeling on the lower half I have to deal with facial pain so when I sleep my face touches the pillow and I wake with that and then I am reminded that the lower half is also in pain. sheesh .. I am not a happy camper. I was on morphine, methadose, oxycontin, methadone for years and I been off these opieds for over a year now and I really don't want to start taking them again because I do feel alive and not feeling like I am living under a cloud. Anyway Sheri, I'm going to find out what's causing this pain in the tail bone.

I wish you the best of luck in your quest to be pain free.

Joe
