Hi, Today was the first day in months that I did not have horrible pain. Still pain but better then usual. I think alot of factors played a part. I started Lyrica on Wednesday. I took an Ambein CR so I got enough sleep. Took some Tramadol since my Oxycodone ran out. Just got a new prescription in the mail. Usually I wake up in back breaking pain. Not today. It was the first day in a very long time where my day was not focused on pain. I'm cautious not to get too excited because I know I can wake up tomorrow (or should I say later on this morning) in pain. So I will celebrate the days where the pain is bearable. I just got a letter today from the insurance company that my appeal for more therapy was denied. Their reason is that I am not getting better fast enough so more therapy will not help. Makes no sense to me. They don't realize that I will get worse without therapy and cost them more money because I will probably need more medical care.
YAHOO!! Good for you. I pray that Lyrica is the answer to your pain relief. Quick question -- have you felt drugged on the Lyrica like you did not neurontin??

I also have Narcolepsy (Severe Excessive Daytime Sleepiness) which I take Dextroamphetamines (uppers) to stay awake. So on a good day I am drowsy. I don't notice any difference with the Lyrica. All the meds I take have so many side effects. Some are to keep me awake while others make me drowsy. With the Narcolepsy I don't seem to respond the same way to meds as other people. For example, I took Ritalin for a while to stay awake and it didn't work when others that take it without sleeping disorders are hyper. The Percocet doesn't make me drowsy either. Only thing I notice is feeling a little fuzzy but that could be my sinusitis. I have so many ailment that fight each other. I woke up today in pain so maybe my less pain day was short lived. Guess you take what you can get.
