Discussions that mention lyrica

Back Problems board

Hi Mary Ann, I absolutely agree with diet, there's no reason to suffer so badly..You should ask for a codine pain drug and Lyrica or neurontin for nerve pain...I can confirm you that nerve pain is something very hard to go away, be patient, spend some time here with us, rest and you'll se that sooner or later the pain will go away.
My surgeon explain to me that nerves impress the pain in the brain, something like when they cut an arm or a leg away...the person will feel the leg or the arm for years, and they feel the pain in these body parts for a long time...
We're here to suport you, this board is very supportive hope to hear from you soon!

I think it absolutely ridiculous that at two weeks post op they've taken your meds away!!!!!! I am two weeks post op and still take all my meds and am listening to all doctors orders and would freak out if they said just take aleve.

I to think that you need some sort of nerve meds like neurotin, or lyrica to help with that pain, it won't help with the back pain so they should give you something else for that. In my opinion if you wait another week to ask for meds they might not think you need them. Hell I'd be blowing their phone up!!

But that's just me.
