I am 8 weeks out. Last appt was Monday and they added Lyrica. My x-rays look normal and even have started to show fusion. :cool: I am still having alot of nerve pain walking. It is amazing because I actually feel great until I get up and begin walking a distance then the pain sits in. My doctor and I made a walking plan slowly increasing the distance.

I am flying solo these days with the children and have started back on homeschooling.

I was given permission to drive 15 minutes and it is going okay. The hardest part is backing up with this blasted brace on. I brake with my left foot because I can't always feel my right one.

Overall things are going well. I am taking 1 percocet mid-day, 1 flexeril at night, 1 soma in the a.m. and 2 lyrica one in the morning one at night.

Wow Diet your meds have went way down!!! Is the walking getting any better at all? I don't know about the lyrica but the neurotin took a couple of weeks to build up. The cymbalta did help my leg pain to, but didn't make it go away.

Both of you are driving now, thats awesome, that will give me back my independence..not when they release me but when I am confident that its ok.

MAybe the lyrica will kick in and help with that. I am so sorry your going through this crap Diet...I wish there was something I could do to help!!!

I am working on getting back into the swing of things and happy to be regaining control of my life. The legs are doing a little better and hopefully this Lyrica is going to do the trick.

I am allowed to be in the car 10 to 15 minutes max.
