Discussions that mention lyrica

Back Problems board

Hi, Pepper. Well, you wanted to know what my surgeon said, and he only said exactly what I expected....it appears that there is a nerve being pinched and he is ordering a ct-scan to see if he can find out. He checked out the set of x-rays that were taken by my pm last month and said my fusion looks "beautiful", that there's a touch of spondy but it looks like it isn't doing any sliding so it should be causing pain. I don't think it is either. I didn't push him any further right now, tho I did briefly go into the numb area on the buttocks (outside the "saddle area) and the "lazy" bladder I have lately. He isn't concerned at this point but warned me to be watchful......duh. If I didn't do so much research and reading, I probably would be totally satisfied with what he said and I really don't know what more I could want. If the ct shows anything, we'll discuss it but I do not want any more surgery! I'll have to live with it as it is, continue to take aleve, and pray it doesn't get any worse.

I'm sure, if I ask, he will put me on lyrica but I really don't want to take it. I've worked too hard to lose that 38 pounds and I don't want to put it back on. With all the Christmas baking I do, it's going to be hard enough, lol. So, once I get the scan scheduled, I'll let you know.

I haven't been on in a couple of days, and I hope you are feeling even just a bit better, Pepper.

Still Praying.

Carol
