After being on vicodin and percacet for years. Then being on methadone and duragesic patch for a couple of years. I have managed to cold turkey quit taking all narcotics with only one day of minor withdrawal symptoms. I think I got really lucky on this one. It has been 2 full weeks now and I feel great! I am awake now and not sleeping 15 hours a day. Thanks for your words of wisdom to help me to hang in there. Since I was taking all the drugs for pain issues I shouldn't have a problem staying off of them as long as the pain is now gone and stays gone.

WOW! Congratulations! I am having a tough time after only being on Vics for 6 months...as I tappered I got w/d symptoms and just decided yesterday (with the help of this forum and the grace of God) to go cod turkey...I woke up so early this morning feeling so weird..headache..OH KEN NOW the diarrhea is kicking in..yuck! Sweating with goose bumps and sneezing, sneezing......sickness in my gut, nausea, and a strange feeling emotionally, I don't feel like doing ANYTHING>>>> Lord Bless you girlie...keep it up. MM :wave:
